We are thankful to Sprouts Healthy Communities Foundation @sproutsfnd for their generous grant of $5,000 which will go toward supporting the establishment of the Happy Cooks Club! With this grant, we’re able to offer family-friendly food experiences at 2 Phoenix area elementary schools: Rover Elementary in Tempe and Garfield Elementary in Phoenix. Free cooking classes and tasting events will feature locally grown items, and offer simple kitchen and meal prep skills to provide kids, teens, and adults with the tools to prepare nourishing meals that are wholesome, flavorful, inexpensive and fun to make
With goals of community, inclusivity, and connection, the classes will address childhood health and wellbeing, nutrition education, and healthy living.
